Self-proclaimed "esspressionist" Mike Breach creates beautiful coffee art while on-the-job as a New York City-based barista.
Breach draws detailed images into his lattes, and gained an online following after posting photos of the designs on his personal Tumblr, Baristart. From Britney Spears to Albert Einstein, famous faces dominate his work.
Breach first started honing his talent while working in the back of a hotel kitchen, alongside an unused espresso machine, according to Tumblr's Storyboard blog. To pass time, he taught himself how to inscribe hearts into coffee foam, using a bamboo skewer as his brush. Soon, the coffee artist made increasingly intricate designs, eventually churning out portraits of Salvador Dalì and Beyoncé. For more on his process, watch the video, below.
