Reddit user franciskawalski proposed a challenge late Sunday night to the r/Music page: "Let's make a 2013 summer playlist."
Within eight hours the challenge, which generated more than 500 comments and song suggestions, was accomplished.
Redditor lindLess compiled the 140 most highly voted songs into a Spotify playlist. Give it a listen for yourself below (it may look like there are only 17 tracks, but scroll down within the embed and you'll be able to access all 140.)
Artists range from Otis Redding to The Strokes to Fatboy Slim to Fleetwood Mac. At time of writing, the playlist had more than 1,000 followers.
