If you're among the lucky few who have already taken Google Glass for a spin, you know wearing Google's high-tech specs in public brings in a whole lot of attention. The reaction is mixed too — people either look at you in awe like you're from the future or wince like you're some strange zoo animal.
Mashable tech editor Pete Pachal took his shiny new pair to the streets of New York City recently to ask if the glasses are "cool or creepy?"
"If they looked like normal glasses and you couldn't tell you were wearing Google Glass, that would be cool," one person said.
But most said they would wear it with no design changes and jumped at the chance to learn more about how it works. Perhaps the biggest surprise was the $1500 price tag — it even got a bigger reaction than what Google Glass actually does (not exactly the $300 to $700 they were expecting it to cost).
When asked if they would make the purchase if the price didn't drop, the common response was: "Nah, not right now."
