Amazon Launches Cloud Drive Photo App for iPhone

Amazon has expanded its Cloud Drive offerings with a new photo-centric app for iPhone.

Amazon Cloud Drive Photos [iTunes link] for iPhone lets users back-up their entire iPhone photo libraries to Amazon's Cloud Drive. The app is essentially the same as the Android app released last November.

You can choose to back-up your entire camera roll to Cloud Drive or choose specific photos from different albums. There is also an autosave mode that works in a similar fashion to Dropbox's photo backup mode or the auto-upload features in Google+.

Amazon offers users 5GB of free storage for their photos and other files. Extra storage is competitively priced: 20GB of storage is just $10 a year with 50GB running just $25 and 100GB running just $50.

You can choose to upload an entire photo album to the app and it will display that album in its own photo, not just in an unorganized camera roll. Meanwhile, Apple backs up photos automatically to iCloud and the first 1,000 photos are available in PhotoStream, which is accessible on any iOS device or Mac.
