TNT and TBS to Live Stream Their Content 24/7

TNT and TBS announced Wednesday that they will be the first national entertainment networks to live stream their content 24/7.

The plan, announced during the Upfronts in New York, will begin this summer. Viewers will be able to watch the two networks live. "Tablets and smartphones become television sets, bringing new opportunities for us and for advertisers," Steve Koonin, president of Turner Entertainment Networks (pictured above), told the Upfront audience. A cable subscription is required for such viewing.

TNT and TBS live streams will be available via tntdrama.com and tbs.com. The content will also be accessible through the newly created Watch TNT and Watch TBS apps.

Though the two claim to be the first national entertainment entertainment networks to offer such live streaming, Bloomberg has been live streaming its news programming for years.
